Company history BMFRS started in 1995 and has covered all flying and aircraft events at the museum since. BMFRS also covers all vehicle events. All members are fully qualified Aerodrome fire- fighters. Two members of the team are now qualified as vehicle fire investigators. One member of the team is also a qualified Bomb Threat assesor.
Two members of the team have been presented with Long Service Medals by the British Fire Services Association
BMFRS team were recognised in Feb 2008 by BAA Comunities Trust for their commitment to the community and time spent in volunteering by being given a Highly Commended award

BMFRS were shortlisted in the 2009 BAA comunities Trust volunteering awards
Other duties that are carried out by the team:
Members of the team are part of the museum Health and Safety Commitee
BMFRS carry out regular Fire Inspections, Health and Safety inspections of the Museum site to
ensure compliance with Health and Safety Law
BMFRS trains all staff and volunteers at Brooklands Museum in Fire Prevention training.
We also train other outside Groups in Fire Prevention ranging from Brownies,Guides,
St John Ambulance Cadets to other Adult groups

Volunteer Air Crew Transport Drivers Wings and Wheels Dunsfold

2010
May All members of team qualified in use of Medical gases (Oxygen and Entenox)
April All members of team qualified to use the new Defib (Lifepak 1000)
We now have one member of the team Certified as a Community first responder and two members Certified in Baby and Children Emergency Life Support

January 2010 BMFRS received a grant from British Heart Foundation for the purchase of an Automatic External defib
2009
Sunday 15th November 2009 the team welcomed home the replica Vimy bomber after over 13000 miles of record breaking flight
Three members of the team at the end of February 2009 spent time at Silverstone Circuit and met some of the teams working there seeing what duties are carried out at a Race Curcuit and what incidents happen. The team worked with the VSCC marshals to assist in covering one of the marshal posts at BROOKLANDS corner on the track, they also spent time with the Fire crew, incident Units, Clerk of the course, and track Control.
